Recommending a few books

Hello to all!!
I have been reading a few books as of late    ( and yes, it was late when I was reading )    , and some I have been reading for a second time since I had not read them in a little while, and thought I would share with you what books have been a great help in understanding what God actually expects of me, a single young girl.
One of them that I had read a year back was a book by Debi Pearl, and the name of the book was " Preparing to be a Help Meet " .
Though aimed at young women approaching marriage, the book contains instruction that can help a wife wanting her marriage to be all that God intended. It can even help young men learn more about how girls think and what characteristics would be most important in a wife.

Another wonderful book has been " My Heart In His Hands " by Ann Judson.
The book is actually the story of Ann Judson's life and has letters from her journal and diary, and also exchanged letters from her husband who was in Asia while she was trying to go to him and aid him in serving the less fortunate all because she felt God's calling her to serve as a missionary.
This quote is from one of her diary entry's:
"If nothing in providence appears to prevent, I must spend my days in a heathen land. I am a creature of God, and He has an undoubted right to do with me, as seems good in His sight. He has my heart in his hands, and when I am called to face danger, to pass through scenes of terror and distress, He can inspire me with fortitude, and enable me to trust in Him. Jesus is faithful; His promises are precious. Were it not for these considerations, I would sink down with despair. "

I have also been reading the book of Esther. That is one of my favorites of all time!! :)  Women and girls today have honestly no idea what it was like for her. If you really study to see what would happen to her if she appeared before the King unsommoned, you would find you would have not made the same choice. I believe God gave her the grace and strength to continue with His plan. Had she not been the courageous woman she was, God would have found another way to protect His people. However, she did not back down and how great is the story of a young girl who sacrificed EVERYTHING for the sake of her God and her people.
I would be incredibly blessed if I were to be in the same situation and have that same response. Her response reminds me of Mary Magdalene's;
"Behold, the handmaid of the LORD!!"

I hope you consider reading these books I recommend, and enjoy them thoroughly!!
God Bless!!
